The VIOFO 4K A129 Pro Duo Dual Dash Cam, is the latest dash cam from VIOFO and is a high resolution version of the A129 duo dash cam. While it kept most of of the features of the A129 duo, the chispset, lens and image sensor, have all been upgraded. Even though it offers a smaller viewing field, the A129 Pro Duo offers 4 times the video quality. That’s an important feature in any dash cam.

Dual Channel Recording
With the A129 dual dash cam, the front camera records in ultra HD 4K, and provides a 130° viewing angle, while the rear camera records in full HD 1080P and provides a 140° degree view. It uses the Sony image sensor and the wide angles are suitable enough to provide a wide view of the roadway without causing the picture to bend.
Super Night Vision
The Sony 8MP sensor provides super clear day and night time video recording. Added to that, the F1.8 7G lens and WDR (wide dynamic range) works in tandem to help the dash cam capture quality images day and night.
Buffered Parking Mode
In buffered parking mode, the A129 Pro records the impact of the accident as well, not just the accident. When an event is detected, the video sequence is permanently saved. But it captures video 15 seconds before the event and 30 seconds after the event. So it actually records enough to provide a bit of context to the event.
Emergency Recording
Like other dash cams, footage of any sudden shake or collision is automatically detected and locked to prevent it from being overwritten in loop recording. So you can be assured of protection if you are involved in an accident.
GPS Tracking
The external GPS module records data related to your speed and route in the video file. It also allows for playback on compatible devices and keeps the dash cam’s clock synchronized with the GPS time. That means you can be assured that the video files are correctly time stamped. You can also use the VIOFO APP to check the GPS route.
High-speed Wi-Fi
To avoid wireless interference, 2.4GHz and 5GHz dual-band Wi-Fi is used. This provides the option to transmit in two standard frequency ranges to avoid any interference. Using a more stable Wi-Fi signal and speed allows for speedy file transfers.
Supercapacitor
The A129 Pro dual dash cam uses a supercapacitor. This ensures more stable power and a longer life of your dash cam. The supercapacitor also ensures that the dash cam performs in extreme temperatures. Performance range includes -10℃ to 65℃.
Easy To Install
This dash cam is easy to install on both your front windshield and rear windshield. It comes with 3M stickers, and the fact that it has a compact design, so your this dash cam will not attract attention or block your view. Additionally, there is no need to power the rear camera separately. Simply connect the rear camera to the front camera for it to work.
There are lots of advantages to this dash cam. Hopefully, lane departure warning and collision warning could be added with the next upgrade. But overall, this dash cam does what it was designed to do very well.
